the candle flame danced
under the cold winter’s full moon
reaching for the stars
she was flames of passion
warm with compassion
she laughed in the comedy of life
crying in the tragedy of strife
burning ever so bright
her flame took flight
each glorious night
no fear of climbing heights
nor blinded by her light
fueled by hope and dreams
embraced within silver moon beams
love she received
for she believed
she trusted
she danced within that love
no reasons of why
she danced on the wind
just because….
in an instant
of distance
she was silenced
somewhere in the night
music within died
and the silence cried
one breath
blew away
her flame
in a game
of chances
now the flame
no longer dances
resting within the wind
for whispers to send
so the flame can rise again
then the dance shall begin again

So beautiful, your poetry is a beacon of light leading us forth into eternal peace!

Thanks for stopping by one of my blogs. I am glad you enjoyed today’s post. Perhaps you will check out my other blog one day and find a poem you like?
Love! Really, I don’t know how you do it, your poetry is both eloquent and in the shape of a flame! I wish I had as much bravery in my poetry. Thank you for inspiring me
I search for something beautiful to say, but i could only sit, re-read it, relish it, and smile for the wonderful way you always write! Much love always and may your New Year be truly blessed!
…and yet, always the flame burns. Never doubt the truth (perhaps the only truth) of love. If it can be stopped, it was never love…..for love simply is. No rules, no reasons, no limits, no need for presence or time…….it simply is. I love you, Maryrose. ~ Always, Bobbie
for you, Maryrose……..
